The Role

Based in Cheltenham, this new role has been created to take advantage of the huge commercial opportunity presented by organic social media in our sector. You will lead our organic social media efforts to significantly grow our followers with engaging content that creates a conversation with our community and drive traffic to our website.

Through the creation of innovative, engaging and educational content (images, videos and written text) and use of our existing assets, you will develop a coherent brand message across social platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest with scope to expand to other platforms such as Twitter. In particular you will play the key role in creating and improving our videos used on social media both in terms of quality and quantity.

This role will be central to driving organic visitors to our website and, more specifically, will entail:

  • Creation and management of our social media calendar
  • Daily management of social media accounts with the goal of growing our presence quickly
  • Create content such as videos and photographs from our day to day activities and from your own ideas to generate organic social content.
  • Prompt replies to visitors to our social media and identification of the top accounts in our sector to build a community of followers.
  • Continuously monitor and improve customer engagement and brand awareness by capturing and analysing the appropriate data.
  • Deliver measurable ROI on marketing activity and report on account growth performance
  • Use Google Analytics to measure the performance of organic social media campaigns and use this analysis to inform future campaigns 

The Candidate

We are looking for a committed, passionate and self-motivated individual who is both creative and analytical. You will have a proven ability to grow social media accounts and now wish to work in an autonomous position where you are directly responsible for growth and success. You will have an exceptional knowledge of how to grow followers, engagement and communities on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

The role will suit an individual who isn’t looking for a 9-5 role, who is flexible and resilient, a problem solver who is quick to learn. Passionate and energetic and willing to learn new things, you will collaborate with the whole team to bring your knowledge and passion for social media to create a buzz about everything you are doing.

Your experience and skillset will include:

  • Minimum 2 years-experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional organisation skills and ability to manage your time effectively
  • An excellent standard of written English
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think outside the box, get things done, and desire to progress quickly whilst achieving the quality of work necessary.
  • Ambition, bringing a wealth of insight and understanding, and doesn't blink at the graft.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, Good working knowledge of Google Analytics, Shopify an advantage
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Experience or an interest in video and photography an advantage.
